This NewNow is a creative arts and event space in Oakland, CA. NewNow was founded in 2016 with the goal of providing a space for artists and experience creators from The Bay Area and around the world to gather, create, and share new work.
We deeply believe in the power of bringing people together.
Our goal is to offer a creative and affordable space for new experiences, meetings, classes, rehearsals and video productions.
We look forward to continuing to be a part of Oakland’s creative community in this NewNow, and beyond.

CAR. There is street parking. It is a residential neighborhood. Thursday and Friday are street cleaning days with parking restrictions between 1230p-330p. If you find parking limited outside the space, please try Brush St. It is the street at the end of the block. Do NOT leave any valuables in your car.
BART. NewNow is a 10-12 minute walk from 19th Street Oakland BART. Arriving from San Francisco, you may prefer to take the first stop (West Oakland) and take a 5 minute LYFT or bike from there. The shortest distance to walk is from 19th St. BART.
BIKE. Bring your bike into NewNow. There is a secure area in the backyard.

NewNow is a blue-gray building at the corner of 21st and West. There is no outside building signage. There is one 4 inch step into the space and two 4 inch steps down into the backyard. Typical to Bay Area spaces, there is no air conditioning. The space is usually comfortable with overhead fans and open windows. To help further prepare for your visit contact info@newnow.live
